Ok, so what started this blog is last weekend after many years of hemming and hawing I finally broke down and bought my dream mixer, a Kitchen Aid Professional.





So far I have made a great butter pasty for pies, my first french bread, a double batch of oatmeal raisin cookies as well as tonight the best soft chocolate chip cookies, recipe courtesy of a friend (Dave Witt) whom I met several years ago when John and I were part BBQ Team.





I had seen Dave's recipe posted in a few BBQ forums but never did try it, until he emailed it to me the other day.





Well, lets just say, my once favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe will now be retired.
